Lancaster-Lebanon League Champions:

The Lancaster-Lebanon League was founded in 1972. The spring of 1973 was the first year fora Champion was crowned in Baseball. Prior to the formation of the Lancaster-Lebanon League, Lancaster County teams played in the “County High League,” from 1944-1972.

The League initially divided teams based on geography. In the first two years of existence, the League had three divisions for baseball: “Northern,” “Central” and “East.” In 1975 the League changed the Section names from “Northern,” “Central” and “East” to “One,” Two” and “Three.” The Sections remained organized by geography. Three years later (1978), a fourth section was added — again, the Sections remained organized by geography.

1993 was the first year that the League Tournament was expanded to include Section Runners-Up in the structure of the eight team tournament that remains today.

In 1995, Section realignment arranged school districts by size. There are a few exceptions to this alignment as the League currently stands. Schools may go up or down a Section based on enrollment; however, the alignment largely remains by school enrollment.

PIAA District 3 Champions:

In the first two years of District Playoffs (1977 and 1978, all schools competed in one classification). From 1979-2004, schools were divided by size across three classifications, A - AAA. In 2005, a fourth classification was added. Another revision was adopted prior to the 2017 season, adding two additional classifications to the Baseball Championships.
